Konference Českého cirkulárního hotspotu ve spolupráci s Think Tankem

Dřevu a studii o jeho toku věnujeme celý dopolední blok. Odpolední blok se zaměří na téma „Jak nastartovat cirkulární ekonomiku ve firmách a jaké jsou dobré příklady z praxe?“ Prostor dostanou také členové Hotspotu a zájemci o aktuální dění v oblasti cirkulární ekonomiky.

Dřevo je strategický materiál ve stavebnictví i ve zpracovatelském průmyslu, zároveň je zdroj bioenergie i podstatou lesních ekosystémů jakožto pohlcovače uhlíku, které jsou ohroženy klimatickou změnou. Jak zajistit, aby se jím neplýtvalo? Jak s ním nakládat cirkulárně? Přesně na to odpoví naše nová studie, kterou v prostorách Kampusu Hybernská představíme za účasti tvůrců, respondentů a mezinárodních partnerů. V rámci bilaterální spolupráce s výzkumným institutem NIBIO zazní i inovace a dobrá praxe v této oblasti z Norska.

PROČ DŘEVO
Prozkoumali jsme potenciál cirkulární ekonomiky v českém lesnictví a dřevozpracujícím průmyslu. Cílem studie je identifikovat hlavní výzvy a příležitosti pro další vývoj cirkulární bioekonomiky v lesnictví a dřevozpracujícím sektoru v České republice v kontextu Zelené dohody pro Evropu, současného hospodářského vývoje a zvyšování surovinové bezpečnosti. Jak je na tom udržitelné hospodaření se dřevem z českých lesů? A jeho materiálové využití ve stavebnictví a výrobcích s dlouhou životností a další kaskádové využívání, včetně možností recyklace a znovupoužití odpadního dřeva?

SPECIÁLNÍ HOST
Carolin Fischer je koordinátorkou projektu SFI SmartForest v Norském institutu pro výzkum bioekonomiky (NIBIO). Svůj doktorský titul získala na Norské univerzitě přírodních věd (NMBU). Carolin je vedoucí oddělení lesnického provozu a digitalizace a její odbornost zahrnuje mimo jiné lesní zdroje, hodnocení kvality dřeva a sledovatelnost.

Czech Circular Hotspot & INCIEN Think Tank ConferenceWood is a strategic raw material in the construction and manufacturing industries, at the same time a source of bioenergy and the basis of forest ecosystems that function as carbon sinks and are threatened by climate change. How can we ensure that it is not wasted? How to manage its use in a circular way? This is the challenge addressed by our new study, which we will present on the premises of Kampus Hybernská with the participation of the authors of the study, respondents and our international partners. Innovations and best practice from Norway in this field will also be featured as part of our bilateral cooperation with the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO).

We will dedicate an entire morning session to the topic of wood, which is open to professionals and the general public. The afternoon block is mainly intended for the members of the Czech Circular Hotspot and everyone interested in current events in the field of circular economy. You can get acquainted, share your needs and news and learn about the outputs of our analyses, consultations and joint working groups.

WHY STUDY ON WOOD
We explored the potentials of circularity principles in Czech forestry and the wood processing industry. The aim of the study was to identify the main challenges and opportunities for further development of the circular bioeconomy in the forestry and wood processing sectors in Czechia, in the context of the Green Deal for Europe, current economic developments and finding ways to increase raw material security.

What are the possibilities for sustainable management of timber from Czech forests, especially its material use in construction and other products and further cascading of its use, including recycling and reuse of waste wood?

SPECIAL GUEST
Carolin Fischer is the Coordinator of SFI SmartForest at the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO). She graduated on The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), from which she also holds a doctoral degree. Carolin is the Head of Department of Forest Operations and Digitalisation, and her expertise includes forest resources, wood quality assessment and traceability, amongst others.
